The MONTAZA Mill
Located in the Montazah Palace on the edge of the main entrance to the park's gardens and an area of 50.25 meters, this mill was founded in the time of Muhammad Ali Pasha, where the Egyptian people suffered from the difficulties of grinding grain in cattle and mills.
9-12 meters high, Good condition
The mill consists of a cylindrical limestone hull, which is covered by a conical lid. The body has small windows for ventilation and lighting, and at the top there is a fan consisting of eight wings.
The mill can be accessed through a semicircular arched entrance. And it operates from inside a semicircular spiral staircase with a number of 37 degrees, attached to its wall, and the staircase is built on the shoulders of the building glued to the body of the mill from the inside.
