The Great Monastery of Abi Seifin
Named after Saint Filopaterus, named Abu Seifin, the saint was born around the year 224 AD and he was a successful and courageous soldier in the Roman army. The Roman Emperor wanted to force him to abandon Christianity and refused, and then he was tortured and then beheaded and martyred in the year 250 AD.
The monastery is located in the Sidi Kerir district, west of Alexandria (North Coast), about 36 km away. It is a monastery.
