It is considered one of the oldest 10 clubs in Egypt, where it was founded in 1890 and the first horse racing concerts were officially opened with the attendance of KhediveTawfiq who attended and since then the club has been the headquarters of the top ranks and the great brokers and wealthy Egyptians. However, the club is considered one of the longest running clubs in the sport of horse riding in Egypt and is considered one of the famous sports and social clubs, its official name is the Alexandria Sports Club and its current total area is approximately 97 acres, Sporting Club has always been under the care of the throne and its honorary president has always been "Khedive" "The Sultan" or "King" according to the constitutional title in the stages of Egyptian history during this time for anyone sitting on the throne.
The president of the club was always called: Khedive's deputy, then the sultan's deputy and finally to the end of the reign of the princes in Sporting, the deputy king in the club! In 1934 it was decided to demolish the main cabin and the wooden playgrounds and replace it with modern buildings under the supervision of the Engineer / Karsansik, but in the early 1980s some minor modifications were made to the cabin that could be used as a development school. for the youth of the club that emerged under the supervision of the Women's Committee. 1938 A large swimming pool was built under the supervision of the engineer / Bordeaux de Charbonnier with terraces that can accommodate 1000 spectators connected to it by a small children's bath. The bath was now named after Dr. Jawad Hamadeh - one of the prominent members. Council and had offered many swimming services.
