Qaitbay Citadel
It is an excellent example of Mamluk's military architecture. It was built by the noble sultan "Al-Ashraf Abu Al-Nasr Qaitbay" in the fifteenth century (circa 1479 AD) on the Alexandria Sea as a measure in the context of his plan to counter the Ottoman Empire's threats in Egypt. And the most important of them is the main discerning tower, which consists of three floors and has a small mosque and a cute minaret demolished in the bombing of Alexandria in 1882 AD, also without fences and external fortifications. There is a tank in the castle for storing water beneath the ground on the west side of the main tower.
