The ancient site of Koum El nadoura, the ancient city (Koum Walaa)
It is considered by the archaeological hills of Alexandria, where it was characteristic of the city of Islamic Alexandria that appears presence of two or three hills in the ruins seen from afar or by sea, reality east of the city, one is Kom el deka at the east of the city and the other is Kom el Naaddourh, the name comes from Abd elrahma ben waala, a friend of Abu el abass and the creation of the top of the tower, which was part of the movement control and monitoring of the ships entering and leaving the port.
Current Description: It is an archaeological hill about 25 m high. The total area of KomElNadhurah area is 26341,25 square meters, which is about six acres and is located in the customs district of ALGOMROK-ALAMBAN.
The main tower: built in octagon shape, at the site of the old tower, 24.5 m high. It consists of four floors connected by a spiral staircase of wood.
Cavarelli Tower: Built during the French expedition and some of its architectural pieces remain.
Water Tank: Built by Muhammad Ali at the top of the hill next to the main tower and is a small private tank, it has a circular opening that leads to the inside of the tank.
Mohammed Ali Observatory: It is an octagonal building, small in height, and is the building above the English Sheriff's camp.
The English Sheriff's Troop: A three-room building used as the home of the English Sheriff.
The Egyptian Sheriff's Barracks: It is the last building of the Sheriff's military, consisting of four rooms and a hall used as a residence for the Egyptian Sheriff.
