The Jewish Temple - Eliyahu Hanabi Temple
This temple is known as the Eliyahu Hanbei temple. The Jewish community’s establishment in Alexandria at the end of the 19th century. It was built in 1881 and is one of the most beautiful and oldest temples in the world.
And on the south side, the temple is located in the middle of the eastern side, where the prayer and preaching platform is in front, and the southeastern side opens an entrance to the corridor, and the northeastern side has an entrance that leads to the second floor where there is a prayer hall for women.
Surrounded by a wonderful garden. The synagogue is the headquarters of the Jewish community, as well as its own court building. It contains a rare library and treasures of antiques and manuscripts of a religious nature.
The temple was registered among the Islamic, Coptic and Judaic monuments by Resolution No. 16 of 1987, and it was not issued a forbidden decree until the date and address of the Jewish Temple 69 Nabi Daniel Street - Raml Station.
