Creative Center of Alexandria
The Freedom of Creativity Center is one of the most important facilities built in the context of the modernization carried out by Mohammed Ali in Alexandria and is one of the first cultural centers established in the Arab Republic of Egypt, but is the first Egyptian cultural center to be established in Alexandria and is affiliated with the Cultural Development Fund and the Ministry of Culture.
The "Club Muhammad Ali", as it was called, is located at the intersection of Sharif Pasha Street (currently Salah Salem Street) and Fuad Street that reaches Al Manshia Square. The Creativity Center consists of 3 floors: -
on the ground floor and consists of: - In the center lobby there is the theater, equipped with the latest sound and lighting systems, surrounded by mass rooms, inspired by the spirit of the Roman Theater and can seat 200 people. - Two large and small rooms for displaying works and paintings in the most modern forms.
Cafeteria for serving pioneers. The second floor consists of: - a music library featuring the latest listening and projectors for various musical works - a studio - a public library containing about twelve thousand books - a movie theater with a 35mm projector - a writers' forum. - Computer Science Center - Boardroom - Theater Room - Ballet - Administrative Offices - Cafeteria to serve pioneers. The third floor consists of: - offices - multi-purpose rooms.
The center has been operating since its inception, as it has been transformed into an integrated cultural city through solid programs offered by each auditorium as part of the strategy of opening a window to the world through collaboration with foreign cultural centers to support cultural and artistic exchanges.
