The Aquarium and the Museum
It was established in 1928 for the scientific and technical supervision of fisheries and the study of Egyptian biology and fish lakes, plants, sponges and shells.
The institute has many workshops, a library and fish ponds, sea and freshwater.
The museum takes its place as part of the institute and includes a rare mummy and a vibrant collection of various fish and aquatic life.
